— U2 is one of my very favorite bands
and I have been blessed to know Bono personally on Facebook.
I would describe them as having a great alternative “post-punk”
rock sound with lyrics that are intellectually
and emotionally challenging. This is a great performance from Chicago
in 2005. It was the 25th anniversary of U2 coming to America.
I want to thank Bono for caring so much about everyone.

The Music Critic’s Corner, (link to Home page and Blog), October 1, 2020, by Paul Evans, with music video of U2 – Vertigo world tour – Live from Chicago 2005 full. There are literally hundreds of fan pages for U2 on Facebook, and they are ALL worth checking out. About a year ago someone hacked my Facebook and deleted my whole account there; also my OneDrive was emptied out of some 26.6 Gigabytes of my music, as was my account with Amazon and (maybe two or three times) the files on my personal PC as well as my back-up on USB flash drives. I think maybe I am getting the attention of the powers that be and the elite. (But read the whole articles on this site; there is actually little dissidence here, only a whole lot of caring for my fellow man!!)

As my friend on Facebook, in a time of deep upset and depression for me, Bono once sent me a special photo which literally saved my life when I had become basically suicidal out of loneliness. God Bless you Bono. It’s the New Matrix of the internet: although it connects us in ways which had previously been impossible, somehow it has us intimidated into silence. We should all show our neighbors a little love, not be intimidated by the lack of privacy, and put ourselves out there and make some friends. You never know how much your kindness and empathy might mean to a person. It might even save their life! The video provided here is my very favorite U2 performance, U2 Vertigo 2005 in Chicago. Anyone wanting a friend please email me, Paul, at sailingtokansas@gmail.com, OR (ladies), if you’d really like to get to know me, I’d make all the time you’d need for you.. This post is dedicated with friendship and love “to all the girls I’ve known before.” I wish you all only the best. God Bless you all (and Blessed Be, too)! Through a combination of zealous righteousness and post-punk experimentalism, U2 became one of the most popular rock & roll bands in the world — equally known for their sweeping sound as for their grandiose statements about politics and religion. The Edge provided the group with a signature sound by creating sweeping sonic landscapes with his heavily processed, echoed guitars. Though the Edge’s style wasn’t conventional, the rhythm section of Larry Mullen, Jr. and Adam Clayton played the songs as driving hard rock, giving the band a forceful, powerful edge that was designed for arenas. And their lead singer, Bono, was a frontman with a knack of grand gestures that played better in stadiums than small clubs….
