The Daily Walk with Miracles

Jesus says things like “come to me all who are weary and need rest”
and “be anxious for nothing but in prayer and supplication,
let your requests be made known to God” which is like a friend who tells you
“Hey, I’m here for you. If you need anything, I’m more than willing to help”.

Thoughts About God

The reasons for our Christian (new age) faith

The Daily Walk with Miracles, updated March 19, 2017, by Paul Evans (with Alondra Cuondra). I’m all alone in the world (even IF Neil Young once had an obscure song called “Everybody’s Alone,” email paul.miracles57@gmail.com.

Thoughts about God: (a Google Plus discussion): Paul
It seems to me that God (whether conceived of as Jehovah (Jove, Jupiter) or YWH (all the light of the universe) does have a material basis in the universe. But it’s reality deep down in our culture has (idealistically) to do with the power of myth, partly (philosophically relevant in terms of philosophical idealism) as well as I said having this material reality as a deity. He does gain power insofar as He is rooted very deeply in our cultural awareness (myth again, a la Joseph Campbell). It is more a question I believe of the so-called myth of Christianity as a FAITH representing something BEYOND myth and have a living reality.

As I said on The Daily Walk with Miracles recently: So, your faith is weak… WHY and HOW did I come back from the DEAD (in 1979 and also a year ago) and why is the sky blue and why is the Gaia hypothesis true and why is the ocean a 70 percent saline solution, good souls? OK, also photons (light from the sun) have no mass, and are therefore theoretically kind of infinite and unlimited. Yet sunshine has limits. Explain that in terms of science, or how a “particle” with a given charge can have no mass. Please. You CAN’T just dismiss all of this, it must be addressed in your thinking, if you are honest.

My friend Alondra Cuondra added “… I understand where you’re coming from. (You might think “no you don’t or you would agree with me” lol). The things you have seen and heard about God may have been discouraging, bad, horrific, or some other negative adjective, which might have shaped your understanding of God as nothing but a concept that people use for power. But as someone who has personally experienced miracles, answered prayers, and other supernatural movements, God is very real. He can be very personal too (from the Christian perspective). For instance, in the Bible, Jesus says things like “come to me all who are weary and need rest” and “be anxious for nothing but in prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God” which is like a friend who tells you “Hey, I’m here for you. If you need anything, I’m more than willing to help.” I really hope that one day you could see God with the eyes I see Him. I used to see God with your eyes but that was because I knew Him from afar. I understood God by the way other people described Him but I never took the time to personally know Him by reading the Bible and praying. I appreciate you asking for my opinion. I respect your opinion.”

My friend at the Overton Community Church gave a little sermone today which I’m really taking to heart: The trials and travails and setbacks we go through today are not really setbacks at all. Instead, we should view such setbacks as preparing us for a better, more abundant future to which we are better suited! What a cool thing to realize to stay positively directed in life!

that love they neighbor thing, I meant that - God
