Tell the Truth? I laugh. Eminem — Not Afraid

The song is off the 2009 Eminem album “Recovery.”
Unfortunately, this was followed in 2010 by the “Relapse” album.
The song is about heroin addiction.

“Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), best known by his stage name Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor. In addition to his solo career, Eminem is a member of the group D12, as well as one half of the hip hop duo Bad Meets Evil, alongside Royce da 5’9″. Eminem is the best-selling artist of the 2000s in the United States. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 82nd on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. The same magazine declared him The King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has achieved ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200. Eminem has sold more than 155 million albums and singles, making him one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. As of June 2014, he is the second best-selling male artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era, the sixth-best overall selling artist in the United States, and the best-selling hip-hop artist, having sold 45,160,000 albums and 31 million digital singles.”

Paul Evans: This song goes along with the last video we put up, Bad Meets Evil – Lighters ft. Bruno Mars.

Like Eminem, I try not to be afraid. Ask our troops if they’re afraid. For that matter, ask the people you meet on the street. The first part of the title I used for this video is “Tell the truth? I laugh”. Sometimes I get these insane urges to tell the truth, the real truth about just what’s going down. I have learned better. Frankly as far as our sister site, The Daily Walk with Miracles, a Christian inspiration, news and politics website, is concerned, I have learned that in the American security state, you Don’t really tell the truth, if you’re smart. Everybody, every one of my smart, savvy readers on the far left and right knows I’m not. Look, I’m just trying to survive, to get along, to make some money with my ads. (Please visit my advertisers, these are great deals with great companies, and the charities are great!) In the past, I’ve had my life basically destroyed because, as our earlier incarnation of the website as “Evans Liberal Politics,” I spoke the truth fearlessly. Now, am I afraid? Let’s say I am constructively concerned. Plus, I get it. I AM in fact a supporter of the Patriot Act, and fearless supporter of our troops and veterans. So call me an American patriot, these days. I always was a patriot, I just had a misguided idea of what real patriotism consisted of. But as to the truth? NO, I don’t really try to tell the truth any longer, but I do put up a LOT of articles that help and inform people, and I know God is happy with me. These days, I need to not only survive but have some kind of career and make some money before I die. Judge me if you will, people usually do.

Thought for the Day: Did you know that the man who made the most entries to the Oxford English Dictionary, over 50,000 words, did it from an English insane asylum? There must be a thin line between sheer brilliance and insanity. Sometimes insanity consists of just saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, maybe too often. Sometimes it’s just bad luck.

For a work I wrote back on August 9, 2013, coming from a perspective more of Gospel-based kindness, yet very Christian in its spirit, published on our sister website, The Daily Walk with Miracles, see God’s Glory in his Creation – Forgiveness and Judgment, The Daily Walk with Miracles, by Paul Evans: a response to a very special quotation by John Piper of
