— In spite of a short-lived mainstream career spanning seven years,
Stevie Ray Vaughan is widely considered one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of blues music,
and one of the most important figures in the revival
of blues in the 1980s. Here is a great concert
from 1985. Everybody cool played Montreux at least once,
and often these are historically significant concerts.

As far as I can see, almost everybody who is into contemporary music and has heard his music loves Stevie Ray. The music speaks of the “down and dirty” in life and romance, and it’s soulful, moving music. This is blues at its absolute finest, but nothing “obnoxious,” just a really great sound, brought to you by The Daily Walk with Love. You might also enjoy PRIDE & JOY: THE TEXAS BLUES OF STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, The Bullock Texas State History Museum, no date, by Stevie’s older brother Jimmie Vaughan.
