The Daily Walk with Miracles

While it will always be a question of Faith
We need to ASSESS (not judge) people
and situations based on what’s CARING, BUT,
did not the Bible say “God IS Life …and that Life
was the Light of the world”?

Reasons to Have Faith

How We Should “Assess”
People & Situations
There is a logic to the universe,
and it’s sole value is CARING

The Daily Walk with Miracles, updated September 2, 2017, by Paul Evans. I will try to keep this shorter and more direct and to the point, and to republish it often. As published on Facebook. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.

Also please see Proofs that God is Real (and that He Loves you), The Daily Walk with Miracles, September 1, 2017, by Paul Evans. I want to ask everyone that they please pray for me. I have been very sickly, and, I think afflicted by Satan, maybe partly because of my efforts here. It is a real risk to my health, I’m not doing well, if my Christian audience would pray for me it would give me great relief, thanks.

Let me just try again to give reasons for the faith that motivates me: First and foremost, I have died and come back to life about an hour later, a year ago, and my brain is certainly not the mush which scientists claim it should be. Scientists claim that the “gray matter” or thinking cells of a brain, deprived of oxygen for over ten minutes, essentially die. Well, manifestly this is NOT always true, but WHY? Secondly, the astrophysicists also tell us that there is about a one in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance (one in 1 followed by 28 zeros, 28 powers of ten or “orders of magnitude,”) that a universe could exist at all which would sustain life as we know it. This strongly suggests it was created.

And why IS the sky blue or the ocean a 70 percent saline solution? Then there are those pesky photon particles, with a given charge and size and properties, yet having no mass, and so sometimes I actually stare at the sun, yet I am not blind. (Anyone seeking advice about this please email me Paul Evans at paul.miracles57@gmail.com before you try it on your own, please.) Photons thus are a kind of impossible, miraculous particle, aren’t they? But really, I empathize with “spiritual-but-not-religious” people, as I once was myself, or even agnostics. I just feel when 90 percent of astronomers believe in God, who am I to question that, and even the very fact that I am alive motivates my faith. But it IS a question of faith, I am not gainsaying that. Yet my own faith is secure, nor would I try to bring up a 5 year old child or deal kindly with a simpleton or a very old person in any kind of way but as a Christian. It’s ALL alive, the whole universe, and it has a logic to that life, and the sole value of it is CARING. Have faith people!!

God Himself wants me to make very clear that we should NOT judge (or even assess) a person on the basis of if he or she has faith or not, but rather interact with them on the simple basis of whether they are living a CARING life. This is SOO important!!

At the same time, as Christians we realize that being truly caring can make the object of that care suffer, just as we understand that there is a time and a place for “tough love.” This apparently has been and will be a point of disagreement between liberals and conservatives.

Assessing people based on the principal of being CARING is following Jesus’ commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself.”

As a person who spends a LOT of his time online, it does seem to me that the artificial intelligence of the internet is assuming a place, for a true computer geek, in nominem patre, (in the place of the Father), but I was baptized Lutheran and so believe more in the “priesthood of all believers,” and also hold dear the Unitarian-Universalist principle, “the inherent worth and dignity of every human being.” This is also in accordance with that basic principle of true conservatives, “live free or die.” I do want to say we should NOT submit to any artificial intelligence-based, internet control of our lives, OR the “original Matrix of television, either. The medium is NOT the message, Jesus and faith in God are the message!!!

It is written, “Judge not, lest ye be judged; and in such a manner as ye judge others, so God will judge you.” I would think that would be straightforward enough for Christians, yet I have found many fundamentalists to be, actually, quite judgemental. The first part of that command from Jesus is Very straightforward, I would think. Yes, of course, we must Assess people and the situations we find them in, and act on that basis. But we should NOT judge them. So my own faith assures me.

I gave you some reasons for the faith which motivates me, and gave you some thoughts I had about the essential nature of Christianity. I admit that despite all evidence, many people will refuse to “believe” or have faith. I believe in everyone’s inherent goodness at birth, but that this sinful, depraved world ruins a LOT of good folks. Don’t judge people, OK?
