— My own thought is that Alan Parson’s Project
and even The Moody Blues rival Pink Floyd
in their contribution to progressive rock,
but that nobody rivals Pink Floyd in their
anti-establishment lyrics (message) or in
the psychedelic nature of both their
music and their video presentations.
According to HDPinkFloyd, the London
Live 8 concert had “Roger Waters rejoining
David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright.
It was the quartet’s first performance together
in over 24 years — the band’s previous show
with Waters was at Earls Court in London on
17 June 1981.” Plus, we have links for you to explore!
Pink Floyd was unique. They were “in the establishment’s
face,” but even those guys liked Floyd.

Pink Floyd: London Live 8:
The Last Concert

YouTube recommended that I listen
to this concert, so I’m giving you
the opportunity, too

The Daily Walk with Love (Link to home page and blog), republished October 4, 2020, by Paul Evans, Video is Pink Floyd – The Last Concert (Gilmour, Waters, Mason ,Wright), YouTube said this video had 14,800,000 views as of April of this year. It’s pretty darned good.

The concert was relatively brief, 24:00, and the tracklist is familiar to us all, “Speak to Me/Breathe/Breathe (Reprise)”, “Money”, “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb.”

For your pleasure, we have some great Pink Floyd links to check out. Go to the Official Pink Floyd website and check out their official Facebook page. Please visit the Haven of Rest Ministries organization’s homeless shelter in Akron, Ohio’s website. Did you know that $1.92 buys a homeless man or woman a meal? And is just giving a homeless man a place to not freeze to death enough? While we drive around in our new or like new cars, well fed and not really denying ourselves anything, really? We have to do more.

I’ve republished and elaborated on a couple of Pink Floyd concerts before. They seem to inspire a creativity sometimes which I really enjoy sharing.
