I want particularly to share a post that means a lot to me, Some Notes for My Fundamentalist Christian Brothers and Sisters, The Daily Walk with Love, by Paul Evans. This is the distillation of a lot of thought, discussions, contemplation and prayer. Please see what you think.

“God is Life; in Him is no darkness at all.” And Jesus is trying really, really hard to get you to love one another and to not judge each other, and try being kind when you can. That way leads to the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, Amen.

The Daily Walk with Love needs your charitable help. I am the owner here, Paul, there is no other owner, and I must live on a minimum disability while I try to run this website. It has not been at all easy. Because we host a lot of videos here, our hosting (with GoDaddy’s server computers) is at an elevated level. Therefore, my hosting costs me about $50 per three months and in my current situation I simply cannot come up with that on my own (or it can be quite painful). According to the Atlantic in Inequality and the American Dream, “In the 1980s, the top 1 percent of adults earned 27 times more than the bottom 50 percent. Now, they earn 81 times more.” This is beyond greed, this is purely evil. If you make $40,000 a year and don’t tithe, there’s something very wrong with you. Some of you have this vague apprehension that there may be a God. You’re right, and someday you will be judged.

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR!

Speak the truth, all of you, openly, honestly, kindly and with only the exceptions you must make for protocol or safety or “to get along in the world.” Sin boldly and know that God loves you. Being kind makes you kind, and I believe we should all try to live at least a little bit like Jesus taught in our lives. Living like Jesus taught makes you like Jesus!

We MUST now develop a more caring, sharing society, with more openness to upward mobility and a better life for all humanity. This is basically more essential than is realized even for the continuation of mankind as a viable species (evolutionarily). Moreover the Misery Index INDICATES STRONGLY that it is now in the interests of the rich to help the poor at this time. If not, at least somewhat, there will be economic collapse. Donald Trump must keep the welfare of the common man in mind even as he makes necessary reforms.

How to Share Resources

If humanity is to survive, ultimately we must embrace a more sharing sort of economic system. There are just too many people and too few resources to continue as we have been. One website which provides ideas and concrete help on how to base our own lives on sharing (things as simple as carpooling) is Shareable, which I highly recommend. Another resource is a really useful book called Share or die (Amazon.com, Kindle, $9.99). See Political Ideology versus Caring, The Daily Walk with Miracles, July 31, 2017, by Paul Evans. (Why not work it through the churches?)
