The Moody Blues are an English rock band. They first
came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music but are
best known for their easy progressive rock which is
a sort of fusion of classic rock, progressive rock and classical
with a nice sound, but sometimes quite profound. I call it
“Easy Listening Rock with the Universe in It.” I’m sure
everyone’s heard “the Moodies” on the radio, too.

This is the most popular of our several Moody Blues videos here on The Daily Walk with Love, so we want to republish it for you. This one is so good you won’t mind listening to it over and over again! So far, this is my favorite playlist by the Moody Blues, and the “title” song (if you will) really speaks to me: sometimes it seems God asks so much of me, I don’t mean the things that I have suffered, but it’s a hard responsibility to try to be aware of “the Truth” about various religion and theological questions and then to discuss them intelligently with my readers. So “don’t ask me, I’m just a singer in a rock ‘n’ roll band” resonates, LOL. It’s easy to follow doctrine, but I don’t trust doctrine, it’s like “the yeast of thee Pharisees.” Doctrine is what divides the church, we need to have a society where people live much more as Jesus taught, plain and simple, that’s how it seems to me. Kindness, mercy and truth are my own words to live by.

Our Bible readings from Bible Study Tools are Matthew 19:1-15; Numbers 9-10; Ecclesiastes 7 NIV. I know this seems far from “the other side of life” out there on the streets or sharing some sort of shabby apartment, but the Holy Word of God can and does accomplish miracles in a lot of people’s lives. And God’s Grace is a free gift. But you can ALWAYS follow the Golden Rule and try to be kind whenever you can (whenever circumstances allow). Loving God IS loving your neighbor as yourself, and if you don’t try to be CARING, you do offend God. Don’t be hypocrites out there, OK, and God Bless you all. Amen.

See Wikipedia on The Moody Blues:

‘The Moody Blues are an English rock band. They first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of progressive rock. They became known internationally with singles including “Go Now”, “Nights in White Satin”, “Tuesday Afternoon” and “Question”. They have been awarded 18 platinum and gold discs. Their album sales total 70 million.

‘As of 2015 they remain active with one member from the original 1964 band (drummer Graeme Edge) and two more from the 1966 lineup (bassist John Lodge and lead singer and guitarist Justin Hayward).’
