This was one of the very first “LP’s” or 33 1/3 rpm
“vinyl” records I purchased the same year it came out (1972).
We won’t burden you with any links or descriptions, let’s
“listen to the music.” Toulouse Street is an early album but
it has a few of the Doobie’s hits and I feel it’s one of their best
albums, with a really good, rocking sound.

The Doobie Brothers Really Rock!

The Daily Walk with Miracles, October 24, 2016, by Paul Evans, video is The Doobie Brothers – Toulouse Street (1972) – Full Album, dedicated to my father Jack (1925-2012), one of the most spiritually central people in my life; and to my new friend Dennis, here in downtown Wooster, may God Bless and keep you! Featured photograph of The Doobie Brothers, from the album cover, is adapted from the original from UltimateClassicRock.

Since it’s from 1972, Toulouse Street would have their original personnel: (Tom Johnston – guitars, vocals; Patrick Simmons – guitars, vocals; Jeff “Skunk” Baxter – guitar, steel guitar; Tiran Porter – bass, vocals; John Hartman – drums; and Keith Knudsen – drums, vocals). Please feel encouraged to check out the Doobie Brothers article on Wikipedia, which notes that the Doobies have sold over 40 million albums. A few of their songs, like “China Grove,” “Listen to the Music,” “Long Train Running” and sometimes “Black Water” still get quite a lot of airplay on classic rock FM radio stations.

Please feel encouraged to visit The Doobie Brothers (who now are touring with Journey) on Facebook or see their Official website. Check out the downloads of albums and songs by the Doobies in high quality, digital rights free mp3 format from Amazon.com, which is where I purchase all my music. One cool feature of Amazon is that you can re-download your digital orders indefinitely, for example, if your computer hard drive dies, you still can get to all your music easily.

See also on The Daily Walk with Love, The Doobie Brothers – Stampede, and The Doobie Brothers – 1971, an under-appreciated, self-titled album you would really enjoy. It doesn’t have their big hits, but it’s really good music. Not flashy but really enjoyable to listen to. Also on The Daily Walk with Love see a great concert by the Doobie Brothers, DOOBIE BROTHERS – Santa Barbara, California, 1982, all here on The Daily Walk with Love. A treat for you would be to also watch (on YouTube) Doobie Brothers Chicago 1977 Full Concert, RockItNowAlready and YouTube – 58:06, which has some good commentary in an interview with the band in the video, and some great music too. What kind of Doobies do you like, take your pick and then have a listen!

This was one of the very first “LP’s” or 33 1/3 rmp “vinyl” records I purchased almost the same year it came out (1972). One of the few that I bought before this was another Doobie Brothers great, “The Captain and Me,” I think from 1973, which always made me think of my father, since he was a Captain in the Marines in WWII. We won’t burden you with any links or descriptions, let’s “listen to the music.”
