— This concert in 1982 is quite possibly one of
the last big concerts the Doobie Brothers did with
nearly their original personal, including Patrick Simmons and
Jeff “Skunk” Baxter. Hey, didn’t they have
a GREAT classic rock sound? We won’t burden you with
(many) links or descriptions, let’s “listen to the music.”

Hot Doobie Brothers Concert from 1982

The Daily Walk with Love, republished January 4, 2018, by Paul Evans, (email paul.miracles57@gmail.com), main music video is , courtesy of “Speed Merchants,” Warner Brothers and YouTube. This concert is quite possibly one of the last big concerts the Doobie Brothers did with (nearly) their original personal, hey, didn’t they have a GREAT sound??!?. We won’t burden you with (many) links or descriptions, let’s “listen to the music.” The Doobie Brothers at this time had most of their original personnel: (Tom Johnston – guitars, vocals; Patrick Simmons – guitars, vocals; Jeff “Skunk” Baxter – guitar, steel guitar; Tiran Porter – bass, vocals; John Hartman – drums; and Keith Knudsen – drums, vocals). About halfway through the concert is a great guitar riff I know you’ll all love! Rock ‘n’ roll featured photograph is from a Rainbow concert held in 1978.

Also see The Doobie Brothers – Stampede (full album), and The Doobie Brothers Toulouse Street (1972) right here on The Daily Walk with Miracles. Featured graphic image courtesy of Yahoo.com (which I note has recently been purchased by Verizon).

A Treat for you would be to also watch Doobie Brothers Chicago 1977 Full Concert, RockItNowAlready and YouTube – 58:06, which has some great commentary in an interview with the band. A note about the Doobies’ Toulouse Street album: I can still remember the quizzical look my dad gave me when I was in high school and I brought THAT album home and played it. The thing about the Doobie Brothers is that while yes, they have some hard rockin’ music, and sometimes it even crosses over into the morally questionable, it’s good clean music with no subliminal messages, so I see no harm in it, and it has a really good sound. Rock On, people!
