Updated Donald Trump News:
Silicon Valley makes nice with Trump
All the Latest Donald Trump News Headlines
Peace and Love, Everybody!
From The Daily Walk with Miracles, updated November 20, 2016, by Paul Evans, with main news source of Silicon Valley makes nice with Trump, The Hill, November 19, 2016, by Ali Breland. Video is Fox News — The Five 11 18 2016 Kellyanne Conway On President Elect Trump’s Cabinet Appointments, YouTube – 33:48. Included photographic courtesy of Citizens for Trump.
Paul Evans: If we are to avoid the utter implosion of the global economy and/or WWII, we must leave behind these endless currency wars and embrace Donald Trump’s “America First” vision for our foreign policy. He also seems to have a weird sort of hybrid vision for the economy, and that’s OK, too. Continuing endless war overseas and “American exceptionalism,” would probably lead to WWIII, and would likely either cause our own economic ruin or else maybe the end of most multicellular life around the world in a nuclear holocaust. Detente with Russia is in no way a bad idea, if you want your children to grow up and have any kind of a future. Embracing Trump’s economic vision (and NOT Paul Ryan’s) will actually grow our economy and move the United States to economic health. America’s left, for their part, should realize that a truly caring, sharing society in America is something for the indefinite future, perhaps 200 or so years away. Amen, people — support your President and pray for him, and his success and health.
I will go a lot further than that: I feel we need an alliance, practically speaking, between the Satanic left and the truly Christian right to move America forward to the place we really must get to, a shared vision for a better future for our children: in a word, true bipartisanship. The Tea Party and the true left must now cooperate and pass Donald Trump’s legislation. I think that, just as many Bernie Sanders supported Trump, now they must cooperate with Trump’s people in passing legislation that will move America forward.
The two sides battled during the campaign, with prominent tech leaders backing Hillary Clinton and Trump struggling to raise money from the industry.
“Trump would destroy much of what is great about America,” Netflix CEO Reed Hastings wrote during the campaign.
Trump took his own shots at the industry, floating a boycott of Apple for refusing to crack its encryption for the FBI and accusing Amazon CEO and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos of using his paper as a political weapon against him.
Now with Trump’s victory, many tech leaders in Silicon Valley are extending an olive branch.
“I for one give him my most open mind and wish him great success in his service to the country,” Bezos tweeted, two days after the election.
TRUMP and PUTIN: See Putin Says Trump Confirmed Willing to Mend Ties, NewsMax, November 20, 2016, excerpt courtesy © 2016 Thomson/Reuters. All rights reserved (Fair Use)
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday U.S. President-elect Donald Trump confirmed to him he was willing to mend ties, though he also said he would welcome President Barack Obama in Russia.
“The President-elect confirmed he is willing to normalize Russian-American relations. I told him the same. We did not discuss where and when we would meet”
I personally greatly prefer nuclear winter, don’t you America??? lol
HEADLINE DONALD TRUMP NEWS: See Romney Mum After Meeting With Trump, NewsMax, November 19, 2016, by Sandy Fitzgerald:
After coming out of the front door at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ, and shaking hands with Trump, a non-smiling Romney told reporters that he’d had a “far-reaching conversation,” particularly regarding various world leaders.
“We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the U.S.” Romney said. “We had a very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had and appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect and look forward to the coming administration.”
Today’s Political News: See Woodson Says He’s Under Consideration to Lead HUD, NewsMax Politics, November 19, 2016, by Sandy Fitzgerald. This would just about be cementing a “truce and mutual amnesty” between Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan, and very good news indeed, (although I personally don’t like Ryan or trust his politics or policy, especially when it comes to solutions to poverty or foreign policy, and begged the GOP not to appoint him). So I think Woodson’s self-appointing posturing is self-serving and a ploy by the pro-Ryan faction in the House. Maybe (maybe) it’s OK to have some degree of peace in the House GOP, short term, if Tim Ryan can’t unseat Paul Ryan for Speaker of the House. Maybe it’s best to “hedge your bets,” but personally I want Paul Ryan out and don’t like or trust him at all:
Robert Woodson Sr., founder and president of Washington’s Center for Neighborhood Enterprise and adviser to House Speaker Paul Ryan on poverty issues, said Friday he’s being considered by President-elect Donald Trump for a cabinet position.
“They seem to be very serious about it,” Woodson, 79, told The Washington Post, saying the discussions have included his becoming the secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
OLDER NEWS: See Donald Trump: Social Media Now More Important Than Money in Elections, The Daily Walk with Miracles, November 13, 2016, by Paul Evans: Main news source is Trump: Twitter helped me win but I’ll be ‘restrained’ now, CNN Money, November 12 2016, by Brian Stelter. Here is my own “take” from that article, as amended today:
SUMMARY: Donald Trump spent about $200 million on his Presidential campaign and Hillary spent $2 billion, but Donald had the social media, primarily Facebook and Twitter, behind him. This is a wholly new situation in American politics, the dawn of a wholly new age in election politics. Trump (a child of Lord Jacob Rothschild, at least theoretically, is making peace with Putin the Russians. You know, his daughter is named Ivanka, too. So far, everything Donald Trump has done has been for the good of the U.S. and ALL it’s people, such as removing the lobbyists from his transition team. The appointment (just yesterday) of Pompeo (House Representative from Kansas who is on the House Intelligence Committee) as CIA director is really good, on the face of it. (It’s just about as if the Rothschild’s and the Romanov’s have made PEACE. And Pence is doing a great job during the transition. The whole situation does bear watching, but we may see our children actually grown up now, with no WWIII.
On Donald Trump’s Economic Plan: The C.I.A. wants you to trust Donald Trump. I generally tend to trust him more than any other politician around. About his tax plan though: If you lower the top rate from 38.5 percent down to 33 percent, without offsetting this with new taxes, the budget deficit will explode, perhaps fatally destroying the global economy. Trump’s tax plan, approved generally by business including a former GE CEO, makes sense on the face of it, but is basically a disguised, progressive fair and flat tax. You would HAVE TO get rid of a lot of the tax loopholes that now exist for it to work. And in THIS influenced Congress, you really think they will get rid of the tax loopholes? I have grave concerns about Trump’s overall economic plan, not conceptually, but in terms of his being able to really bring it into being in the way it truly needs to be. I ask the American people to get behind President Trump and also to pray for his health and success. America really needs publicly funded elections so that our congress has the ability to actually represent the American people and not the big business lobbyists: Donald Trump’s plan to enact term limits might succeed as an alternative. God Bless you richly Donald Trump. Amen.
NEW: See Battle brews over Trump’s foreign policy, The Hill, November 19, 2016, by Kristina Wong. Hopefully the “America First” faction will win out over the “American Exceptionalists.” Donald Trump campaigned on America First and it’s time the United States “got a brain” and did the right thing on foreign policy, don’t you think, America? The endless foreign wars and global currency wars have got to come to an end. If we don’t embrace Trump’s vision of foreign policy and rapproachment with Russia, chances are the U.S. and global economy will utterly implode:
A battle is brewing between the GOP foreign policy establishment and outsiders over who will sit on President-elect Donald Trump’s national security team.
The fight pits hawks and neoconservatives who served in the former Bush administrations against those on the GOP foreign policy edges.
These libertarians, isolationists and realists see an opportunity to pull back America’s commitments around the world, spend less money on foreign aid and “nation-building,” curtail expensive military campaigns and troop deployments, and intervene militarily only to protect American interests…
Sen. Jeff Sessions, who has been chosen to serve as attorney general under President-elect Donald Trump when he takes office, will fix the “politicized” Department of Justice, Trump transition team advisor Kellyanne Conway said.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “The Five,” Conway told the hosts Sessions will right what the team sees are some wrongs.
“In the case of Jeff Sessions in the Department of Justice, I think it’s been a very politicized department of late,” Conway said. “Hopefully he can bring it back to the calibration where it should be. He has been a well-respected federal prosecutor for 15 years, obviously a United States senator from Alabama for about 20 years. U.S. attorney, I believe, from Alabama.
Donald Trump says social media helped him win the presidential election — but he’ll be “restrained” about using Twitter and Facebook once in power.
In an interview with CBS, set to air on Sunday, Trump also tells Lesley Stahl that social media gives him “a method of fighting back” against negative news coverage.
He calls social media “tremendous.”
Once he’s in the White House, however, “I’m going to be very restrained, if I use it at all, I’m going to be very restrained,” he told Stahl.

Yeah, Trump is gonna be “restrained.” What’re they finally going to medicate him? Seriously, the American people have spoken, and ALL Americans, conservative and liberal, Republican and Democrat, need to get behind Donald Trump and end the politics of division. Actually when you really listen to most of Donald Trump’s speeches on YouTube, usually he sounds quite restrained and reasonable, IF you’re a conservative. The biggest change in foreign policy will be from an unyielding “American exceptionalism” to a more reasonable “America First,” but with a strengthened U.S. Defense Department. 200 current and former generals supported Donald Trump during the election race, and I sure see why. God Bless you Donald!
