The Daily Walk with Miracles
Alan Jackson, an enduring voice in the whole history
of country music, is the second best-selling singer
in country from the decade of the 1990’s. He was
born just one year later than me, in 1958.

The Daily Bible verse at the Official King James Bible Online for March 12, 2016 (original date of publication) is Proverbs 29:25 — "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."
Musings of a “country boy” (who’s lived six miles out from a small town, Wooster, Ohio, since 1986) about a genre of music I’m not all that familiar with (but here’s a great artist in Alan Jackson, that much I know), I heard Alan Jackson plenty on the radio. First of all, we have to check out the official Alan Jackson official website and look at his Facebook page. There’s all this talk, “old country” and “new country.” Sounds mostly like old fashioned country to me, but then I’m more Libertarian than anything else…(actually I think we need a good third party). (Yeah, I see there’s some honky tonk worked into it, and some gospel, too.) Alan Jackson is considered what? not sure, some sources say “Mainstream Country.” Let’s see what Wikipedia has to say about Alan Jackson:
Alan Eugene Jackson (born October 17, 1958) is an American singer, songwriter and musician, known for blending traditional honky tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits. He has recorded 15 studio albums, three Greatest Hits albums, two Christmas albums, two Gospel albums and several compilations.
Jackson has sold over 80 million records worldwide, with more than 50 of his singles having appeared on Billboard’s list of the “Top 30 Country Songs”. Of Jackson’s entries, 35 were number-one hits, with 50 in the Top 10. He is the recipient of 2 Grammys, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards and nominee of multiple other awards. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
See all the great digital downloads of Alan Jackson mp3’s on Amazon.com (256 kbs digital rights free mp3’s) at around $10-14 an album (CD). I searched the Apple music store and found one relevant-to-me album you might like called Angels and Alcohol (!), for $9.99 (10 songs) or $1.29 a song, about the same per album as Amazon. See all the Alan Jackson digital albums and songs from Apple, which notes that Mr. Jackson was the second most popular country star of the 90’s after Garth Brooks.
