The Daily Walk with Love
— HERE IS THE DOCUMENTED TRUTH:
Marijuana, correctly called Cannabis,
is a mostly harmless and in some situations
very healthful, helpful green herb which admittedly
is strongly psychotropic. Both modern medicine and The Bible
support legalization and it remains illegal only because
Big Pharma, the mob, the private prison industry and the
street gangs make money off of its illegality, sadly,
with most of the government’s connivance.

Addiction Part 2: Weed
Is Marijuana Healthy or Harmful?
Cannabis is Shown to Be in Most Ways Harmless
(far more harmless than alcohol), which kills almost
80,000 a year and is in fact the real “gateway drug,”
not Cannabis, which has many health benefits
and which the Bible supports consuming

Criminalizing Addiction is Barbaric and Medieval
The Daily Walk with Love, March 3, 2018, by Paul Evans. See Addiction Part 1: The Truth About Addiction, The Daily Walk with Miracles, October 1, 2017, by Paul Evans: “The negative and destructive behaviors which constitute addiction, which are obsessive compulsive and should NOT be criminalized, can be treated somewhat with arsenic – and EVERYONE has addictions (although not necessarily to drugs): it is just part of being human….” Featured photograph courtesy of Tumblr. This is a serious investigation and discussion as to the dangers and/or benefits of Cannabis: please realize that I have ten years of college in the hard sciences, have been writing nonfiction online for nine years, and investigated this accordingly. “They” don’t want the truth to get out: Please Share This Article!
From the Bible, see Genesis 1:29-31 KJV: “29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” Nitpicking and other absurd gainsaying apart, I feel that this passage is fairly conclusive as to God’s intent.
Illuminating evidence comes from the statistics on deaths in given years. I will give a set of statistics that can be verified at the links, except that I cannot remember fairly easily verified sources on Alzheimer’s — the others are documented: deaths (2016) due to Alzheimer’s 87,000; deaths due to alcohol: The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reports that approximately 88,000 people die because of alcohol every year, (and that in 2014 not quite 10,000 of these deaths were from alcohol-impaired driving); deaths in 2004 due to Cannabis: 19 (that’s right), and “all” these were marijuana and something else, combined, The Huffington Post reports that “There are no recorded instances of anyone dying from a fatal dose of marijuana alone.” At all, ever. The two individuals who were reported to have died from weed in Germany a couple of years ago had heart issues which were not initially reported. It was at this point, after giving you facts I am well aware of about Cannabis, that I tried to do research on the web on weed’s health benefits, of which there are apparently many.
Promises Treatment Center gives us the following facts about long-term weed smoking and longevity:
- A study conducted in California involving 65,177 men and women aged 15-49 found after 10 years, marijuana users died no sooner than those who did not smoke it.
- Another study looked at 45,450 Swedish army conscripts aged 18-20 and found after 15 years, both users and nonusers had a similar life expectancy.
However, see Before First Hit, Wait Until Smoke Clears on Marijuana, NewsMax, December 29, 2017, by Wendy L. Patrick, a former prosecutor who brings up considerations related to pot and situations people find themselves in socially and at the workplace.
I will say that government control on Google search result page loading must have improved, because most of the results from a search for health benefits of Cannabis did not load properly or actually at all, at least at first. (This would be a good search to look at for illuminating evidence: the government needs to face it — marijuana is healthful.) There is much more government censorship and control over the internet than we commonly believe. What I know I prefer not to describe, both out of patriotism and for my own good.
Medical Jane has an excellent summary of the health benefits of medical marijuana:
Modern research suggests that cannabis is a valuable aid in the treatment of a wide range of clinical applications. These include pain relief — particularly neuropathic pain — nausea, spasticity, glaucoma, and movement disorders. Marijuana is also a powerful appetite stimulant, specifically for patients suffering from HIV, the AIDS wasting syndrome, or dementia. Emerging research suggests that cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis work together synergistically to help protect the body against some types of malignant tumors (which fact I remember that the American Cancer Association has acknowledged).
Currently, more than 60 U.S. and international health organizations — including the American Public Health Association, Health Canada and the Federation of American Scientists — support granting patients immediate legal access to medicinal marijuana under a physician’s supervision. Several others, including the American Cancer Society and the American Medical Association support the facilitation of wide-scale, clinical research trials so that physicians may better assess cannabis’ medical potential.
Read the full article here. In the 2016 Presidential vote, all the county level doctors wrote letters to the editors against the legalization referendum which was on the Ohio ballot. One can only wonder who paid them off, Big Pharma or someone else. Cannabis isn’t even really a drug at all, but a healthful green herb. A drug is something synthetically manufactured, marijuana is a naturally occurring herb and it is GOOD FOR YOU. I do NOT smoke it, because as an advocate for its legalization, and due to my medical problems personally, I am subject to having my blood tested, and besides do not like doing anything illegal. But it’s a CRYING SHAME that weed is NOT legal, and it never should have been made illegal in the first place. If you drink to much, you pass out, you maybe crash your car, you get sick to your stomach and probably throw up, and you ruin your liver. If you smoke a lot of Cannabis, you drift off to a pleasant sleep with nice dreams. So why is weed illegal and booze legal???
The private prison industry makes a LOT of money on marijuana being a class 1 narcotic and prison sentences given out accordingly. I read that fully 27 percent of black people have been in jail or prison on a marijuana related charge. And here’s something else: as of four years ago, more people are housed in private prisons than in public ones. OF COURSE Big Pharma (the pharmaceutical industry) wants weed to be illegal, it would make a lot of the products (which are way too expensive to begin with) obsolete. And for obvious money and power reasons, both the mob and the street gangs want to keep weed illegal, too. As a good friend of mine (and many others) are fond of saying, “Always follow the money.” And isn’t it so sad that the way things are in America almost always boil down to that?
For a recent, balanced discussion from a popular science point of view, see Medical Marijuana: Benefits, Risks & State Laws, Live Science, June 6, 2017, by Kim Ann Zimmermann, Live Science Contributor, which notes that “medical marijuana is legal in 26 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.”
See 25 Health Benefits of Marijuana, The Daily, May 20, 2016, by Lindsey Lewis: this is the best succinct listing of the major health benefits of Cannabis which I have come across. These are major, important benefits described in just a couple of sentences each.
See 23 Health Benefits Of Marijuana, Business Insider, April 20, 2014, by Jennifer Welsh and Kevin Loria. That a “mainstream” organization like Business Insider is talking up marijuana’s health benefits is a side that the government can’t keep weed illegal forever. Besides which, the government would stand to make $20 to $30 billion a year taking and regulating Cannabis.

Finally, an enthusiastic and so far as I know basically good and truthful article to see is The Shocking Health Benefits of Marijuana You’d Never Expect, CheatSheet, October 2, 2017, by Chelena Goldman. It wasn’t shocking to me, lol.
