Bob Seger’s Hard Rocking Classic Rock
Rivals the Very Best From the 70’s

The Daily Walk with Miracles (homepage, link), November 13, 2017, by Paul Evans, (email paul.miracles57@gmail.com), video playlist is from (Mix): Bob Seger: You’ll Accompany Me, Full YouTube Mix of 50 videos at link, 70’s rock music videos. Featured photograph courtesy of LiveNation. YouTube has begun a new policy whereby embedding playlists only gets you the first song in the playlist, which is too bad for websites that feature their music. At least so far, full albums from YouTube may still be copied/embedded on other websites under “Fair Use” laws if attributed. I strongly appreciate Google and YouTube and all they have done for music providers like me. This song “You’ll Accompany Me” is for a very special lady in my life named Amanda. She is so beautiful and kind and sweet, if you knew her you’d love her too!

Don’cha just love these bar/club type musicians — Bob Seger, or Huey Lewis and the News, or Kid Rock — who beat the odds and make good in life? It’s sort of like us here at the Daily Walk with Miracles posting new content day after day, and year after year, hoping my readers, and somehow I’d get the investors I need to “make it.” Sigh. Hope springs eternal. Anybody want to invest in a damned good website? (Partnerships available….) God Bless you good folks.

Wikipedia summarizes Bob Seeger and Seger’s contribution to roots and classic rock ‘n’ roll as follows:

Robert Clark “Bob” Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the “System” from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands. In 1973, he put together the Silver Bullet Band, with a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful on the national level with the album Live Bullet, recorded live with the Silver Bullet Band in 1975 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger’s best-selling singles and albums.

A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that deal with love, women and blue-collar themes and is an exemplar of heartland rock. Seger has recorded many hits, including “Night Moves”, “Turn the Page”, “Still the Same”, “We’ve Got Tonight”, “Against the Wind”, “You’ll Accomp’ny Me”, “Shame on the Moon”, “Like a Rock”, and “Shakedown”, which was written for Beverly Hills Cop II. Seger also co-wrote the Eagles’ number-one hit “Heartache Tonight”, and his iconic recording of “Old Time Rock and Roll” was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.

With a career spanning six decades, Seger continues to perform and record today. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012….
